Ring Resizing
Every jewellery craft by DINIDU is designed to fit one’s wearer flawlessly across the years. Our resizing service ensures your heirloom rings sit comfortably, while preserving their integrity and craftsmanship for years to come.

What’s Included
- Feasibility Check: Our team inspects your jewellery to confirm resizing feasibility and to check for stone settings, damages and overall design complexity.
- Resizing: Performed with precision and care, including polishing and cleaning.
- Warranty: DINIDU provides warranty coverage for any damage occurring during the resizing process.
- Additional Services: For complex designs or larger adjustments, a redesign may be recommended with a quote provided upon inspection.
Service Charges
- Complimentary Resizing: Up to 2 Japanese sizes (up or down) for the first ring resize.
- Additional Resizing: Beyond 2 Japanese sizes (up or down), or for additional resizes following the complimentary resize, a charge of Rs. 25,000 will apply.
- Express Resizing: For priority resizing within a shorter timeframe, express services can be arranged, subject to feasibility and additional charges.
Service Process
- Book an appointment: Schedule a meeting with our team via a call or WhatsApp message and visit us at our boutique in Colombo 07 with your jewellery and its certifications.
- Inspection & intake: Our team will assess the condition of the piece, check for defects, loosened or fallen stones and resizing feasibility based on the complexity of the design. Following the assessment, an estimated timeline for delivery will be provided.
- Processing: Ring resizing will be completed within a standard timeframe of 10 business days, which also includes cleaning and polishing. However, if express services are required, shorter timelines may be provided, subject to feasibility and additional charges.
- Notification: Our team will contact you via a call or WhatsApp message once your jewellery is ready for collection.
- Collection: Collect your item in-store. Jewellery may be collected by the owner or an authorised third party with prior notice. The customer is required to share a contact number and a copy of the NIC/ passport in advance to arrange collection by a third party. Items can be collected without an invoice by sending a confirmation message via WhatsApp from the registered contact number.
Important Guidelines
- Design Feasibility: All jewellery pieces are subject to an inspection to determine whether resizing is possible without compromising the design, stone settings or structural integrity.
- Size Limitations: Adjustments beyond 2 Japanese sizes (up or down) may distort the shape of the jewellery. In such cases, a remake or redesign may be recommended with a separate quotation.
- Turnaround Confirmation: The final turnaround time (standard or express) is confirmed only after inspection and feasibility assessment.
- Express Services: Express timelines (3 to 5 days) are offered only upon the confirmation of resizing feasibility with charges applied.
- Certification Required: The original jewellery certificate must be presented at the jewellery drop-off. The purchase receipt is not required.
- In-Store Drop-off: Jewellery must be personally brought to the boutique. Courier services are not accepted.
- Other Jewellery Resizing: Resizing services are mainly available for rings. Other jewellery items (i.e., bangles and bracelets) may be considered depending on the design, structure and feasibility.
FAQ
How many times can I use the complimentary resizing?
Complimentary resizing is available only for the first resize within the range of 2 Japanese sizes (up or down). For additional resizes or adjustments beyond 2 sizes, charges will apply.
Is express resizing available?
Yes. In addition to our standard timeline of 10 business days, express services of 3 to 5 day completion may be available, subject to feasibility and additional charges.
Will resizing affect the stones?
All stones are inspected and secured during resizing. Any additional reinforcement required will be discussed with a further quote provided if needed.
Can I get my ring polished while resizing?
Yes, you can. Following your ring resize, we provide a complimentary clean and polish before you are notified for jewellery collection.
Will the gold weight of my jewellery change after resizing?
Minimal adjustments to the gold weight may occur during the resizing process.
