Are coloured gemstone rings suitable for everyday wear?
Many gemstone rings in 18K gold and platinum set with sapphires, rubies, and diamonds are durable for daily wear. However, softer or more delicate gemstones such as opal, pearl, emerald, and aquamarine may require extra care.
Does DINIDU provide jewellery certifications?
Yes. DINIDU provides the following certifications complimentary with any jewellery purchase:
- GIA certifications for natural diamonds of 0.25 carats or more.Â
- IGI certifications for lab-grown diamonds of 0.25 carats or more.Â
- A Sri Lankan-accredited laboratory certification for coloured gemstones.
- A DINIDU in-house certification for the complete jewellery item.
A coloured gemstone and jewellery hallmark certificate from the National Gem and Jewellery Authority and other international gemstone certifications can be arranged upon request only, for an extra payment.
Does DINIDU provide free ring resizing services?
Yes. DINIDU offers complimentary first-time ring resizing for up to two Japanese sizes (up and down) to ensure the perfect fit. Any resizing request following this will be provided at a fee.
Can I get my ring engraved?
Yes. Depending on your selected design, DINIDU rings can be customised with engravings of up to 12 characters, including initials, dates, symbols, or meaningful messages to personalise your piece.
What are the after-care services available for a ring I purchased from DINIDU?
DINIDU provides an unlimited lifetime of free cleaning, polishing, and inspections for all jewellery items purchased from them. In addition, services including ring resizing (following the complimentary first resize), replating (beyond routine plating in the same colour), engraving, and other design enhancements or restorations can be obtained at a fee quoted upon inspection.
How do I clean my ring at home?
Soak your ring in warm, soapy water for about 30 minutes. Gently brush it with a soft brush under running water to remove any residue, then leave it in clean, normal water for another 15 minutes. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth before storing.
